Transformative coaching, counselling and consultancy for people who want more from their life and work
I believe that people are intrinsically motivated and equipped to achieve their potential, to build fulfilling relationships and to make their mark upon the world. Sometimes it can feel as though the path to development and change is unclear, or is littered with obstacles. I help you to understand yourself better, find your path, and identify and overcome difficulties, whether internal or external.
I have extensive experience and training in counselling and coaching, grounded in a warm and supportive style .
My practice is near Market Harborough, accessible for Leicester, Oadby, Lutterworth, Kibworth, Corby, Kettering and Leicestershire villages.
I also support organisations in Leicester, Leicestershire and the City of London with development, change and wellbeing initiatives.
I am a supervisor for other practitioners, with a particular interest in working with dual-trained coach-counsellors and people moving into private practice.

Supervision
I am a supervisor for coaches and counsellors. My clinical and supervision work is grounded in the BACP Ethical Framework and a humanistic and person centred stance.
My counselling modality is integrative, rooted in the person centred approach, with insights from other schools. I am comfortable to work with coaches and counsellors from a wide range of modalities and have had many coach and counsellor clients.
I welcome enquiries from all counsellors and coaches and am particularly well placed to work with dual trained coach-counsellors and recently qualified counsellors moving into private practice.
Prior to moving into counselling, I worked for many years in roles involving the motivation, support and development of people, and I bring this stance into my role as supervisor. I see your development as a practitioner as a key aspect of our supervisory relationship and my style is warm and supportive.
I extended my practice into supervision after undertaking a clinical leadership role in a mental health charity. I found it very rewarding to provide support to counsellors dealing with challenging situations and ethical dilemmas or simply needing to download. This experience prompted me to consolidate my skills by undertaking a Certificate in Clinical Supervision.

About me
It's important that you find the right person to support you or your organisation. In addition to my training and qualifications I bring over thirty years' experience in working with people, initially as manager, mentor and organisational leader and later as counsellor, coach, consultant and supervisor.
My interest in psychological work has its roots in two very different experiences. In my twenties I had a successful career and seemingly happy life, but was also struggling to support someone with a severe mental illness. This experience gave me first hand insight, and I started to educate myself about mental health issues.
In the same decade I attended a leadership course at Cranfield. In addition to a wide range of management disciplines, we explored the psychology of leadership - this prompted my own further study into the factors affecting management and leadership performance. These two experiences are the foundation of a lifelong interest in people and how we function, both at work and in life.
I held a variety of senior leadership roles in the corporate sector, leading large international teams of people, and my greatest interest lay in supporting people to do their best work. When I became a mother I set up my own business providing consultancy, change management and coaching services to large companies, growing it to £2m turnover.
During this time I invested in periods of therapy, coaching and training that I found hugely beneficial for my own self awareness, wellbeing and sense of purpose. Today I am privileged to enjoy a wonderful variety of rewarding work with people and organisations. In addition to my private practice, I am chair of the trustee board of a counselling charity.
I am a registered and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the principal professional body in the UK for counselling and coaching. Accreditation recognises a high standard of knowledge and experience, following a rigorous assessment process, beyond normal registration and in addition to training and qualifications. I am fully insured and registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) in respect of holding client data. You can read my Privacy Policy here.
I am on the book review panel for the professional journal of the BACP; you can read my reviews here.
I am based at LE16 7RB, near Market Harborough, and see individual clients at my premises there, or online.
